RSMj 2019 3rd Annual Scientific Meeting, Vancouver, WA

We are very pleased with the success of our 3rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Research Society on Marijuana (RSMj), which was held from July 26-28, 2019 in Vancouver, Washington (minutes from Portland, Oregon). We were hosted by the Hilton Vancouver Washington. 

We are extremely grateful for Drs. Alan Budney and Jan Copeland, who each delivered thought-provoking keynote addresses. Alan Budney, Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, discussed, "Communicating about Cannabis: Safe, High Risk, Therapeutic, Cannabinoids, Evidence". Jan Copeland, Professor at the University of New South Wales, discussed, "Cognitive Behavioural Interventions for Cannabis Use Disorder: Timing, Technologies, and the Potential for Adjunctive Cannabinoid Replacement?

Thanks to all of our attendees who made the 2019 meeting our biggest success to date with a record-number of poster/symposia submissions, record-number of attendees, and a record-amount of promoting the highest quality of cannabis science.

Dr. Alan Budney is a Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Over the last 20 years he has conducted extensive research on the development and evaluation of innovative behavioral treatments for substance abuse, specializing in cannabis use disorders in adults and adolescents.

Cognitive Behavioural Interventions for Cannabis Use Disorder: Timing, Technologies, and the Potential for Adjunctive Cannabinoid Replacement?

Dr. Jan Copeland is a Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Director of the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre. She has worked in the addictions field for more than twenty-five years, specializing in the development and testing of tools and brief interventions for the management of cannabis use disorder among adults and adolescents.
